The Beauty of Trusting Me to Create Original Designs

2025 was truly an amazing year, and one of the coolest things about last year was that so many brides trusted my vision and allowed me to innovate.
How I Turn a Bride's Inspiration into an Original Design
Usually, anyone who contacts me about their wedding immediately sends me photos of their inspiration. I ask for their Pinterest board(s) or any mood board(s) they have because I want to understand what vibe they are going for.
However, my whole idea with design is I never look at a photo and replicate it exactly. I look at their inspirational pieces and then create something different and special. I do have pieces that I have created many times, like the blue acrylic sign pictured below. I first created this design two years ago, and recently everyone seems to want it (I must've done this for 5 or 6 different weddings this year!). BUT, that was something I created on my own from the start, which is really cool!

Recent Examples Where My Amazing Brides Let Me Innovate
Nautical, but Make it Chic

In terms of innovation, this bride wanted things to be sleek. This wedding was at Windows on the Water in Sea Bright, and while she did want a coastal feel (since they were getting married on the water), she did not want it to feel overly beachy. I came up with the idea of making the table number holder have a shell connected to it. I knew what her centerpieces were going to be, and combining this look with the shimmer paper menus made it look so classy and elegant. You did not look at it and think “beach,” it just felt chic. Super chic! And it still worked with all the other details of the wedding, including all of the gold elements!
Vintage, but Make it Clean & Classy

For this wedding, the bride wanted vintage, but clean. I came up with this entire suite design. I suggested the vellum jacket, and she was immediately obsessed. It was complete trust and it worked out beautifully!
Antique-y & Historic, but Make it Elegant

Christina was one of the sweetest brides ever, and when we met in person, she wanted things to feel vintage and antique because it was at The Park Savoy Estate (which has a historic feel), but she still wanted it to be classic black-and-white. I chose handmade deckled paper and we chose black foil hot stamping for their names, as well as my venue sketch. I suggested it because she wanted a little sheen, and it did not have to be letterpress. It was a moment where she showed full trust in my vision!
Trusting the Vision from Initial Drawing to Delivery

This was a very cool one at Mallard Island Estate because these were items I had never really produced before. I drew the shell myself and created all the lines. My printer die-cut the shape for me. This was true trust in every way from initial drawing to completion.

The Bottom Line: Let Me Innovate!
If someone shows me something and says: “This is exactly what I want,” I am not going to do that, as I don’t want to copy someone else’s work. That is not cool, and it is not what I do. The whole reason brides love working with me is that they are getting something bespoke, and I’m able to take it to a different level.
