Taylor & Anthony: Brooklyn Beauty

This was a wedding that I'm really proud of, and one that’s special to me because of my connection to Brooklyn (both of my parents are from there)! My husband Nick came with me to do the install so we could visit some special places from my childhood after we were done (hi L&B Spumoni Gardens 👋)!

I worked with Taylor, her mom, and her mother-in-law from invitations all the way through to the day of signage and stationery (including signage for the rehearsal dinner), and it all turned out amazing!

The Venue

Taylor and Anthony’s wedding took place on June 7, 2024 at The Box House Hotel in Greenpoint Brooklyn. This boutique hotel is super cool and the views of Brooklyn were stunning! The view was the main reason the couple chose the venue, and Mother Nature didn’t disappoint as it was a truly perfect night!

So much of the space was used throughout the day, as everyone stayed at the hotel and got ready there as well. The ceremony took place on the rooftop, and cocktail hour was held outside. During cocktail hour, the staff (who was extremely helpful which I always appreciate because that's not always the case) switched everything over for the reception. At night, everything was open letting in an amazing breeze.

This is the outside of the venue. The taxi is always there, and its license plate even says "BOXHOUSE!"

The Vibe

White acrylic with printing and calligraphy was featured throughout the entire wedding. Consistency and cohesiveness were key for this wedding, starting with this element. From the invitations to all of the day-of stationery, everything matched this theme, including the foil.

It was a perfect summer night, which made for an incredible experience for guests! The food was served family-style, and the presentation was amazing!

What I Did

Invitations

For the invitations, we used letterpress and gold foil across the entire suite, along with an outline I drew of the Manhattan skyline. This was crucial for the wedding, tying everything back to New York City and their love story!

Rehearsal Dinner

The rehearsal dinner was held in Manhattan at a place called Peasant, and we ensured everything matched the wedding's vibe.

Day-of Stationery & Signage

When guests arrived, this was the hotel lobby. There were signs to guide them all the way up!

Once they got out of the elevator, they were greeted by this sign, and they walked through the doors.

The table numbers and all the signage were done in white acrylic with gold calligraphy and charcoal print. The head table had individual white acrylic place cards at each seat.

We even used foil for the menus, which also featured the skyline for a cohesive look.

How {Stunning| it All Turned Out

Shout out to the awesome vendors I worked with on this one!
