Best 6 of the First 6 {Months of 2024}

I will start by saying that I’m still waiting on lots of galleries from the first half of 2024 — to all my couples: please please share when you can!

Without further ado, let’s check out my favorites (in no particular order)!

Hope & John

The Venue: Hudson House - Jersey City, NJ

What I Did: I only handled the day of signage for Hope and John, but this seating chart quickly became verrrrry popular! I’ve already had two brides request this exact chart (one actually also at Hudson House in September, and another coming up in December at a different venue). The florals were some of my favorites ever. My friend Desiree Dean absolutely crushed it! This was a February wedding, and the black and white theme was classic, timeless, and looked amazing with everything!

Stacy & Brandon

The Venue: Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury - Shrewsbury, NJ

What I Did: This was also a February wedding, and this seating chart is one of my all-time favorites, so much so that it’s featured on the contact page on my website! I didn’t do their invitations, it was only signage, but we created some really incredible items. Stacy and Brandon trusted me to make some creative decisions, which is always super fun! For example, the welcome sign and seating chart we kept white, but we used black acrylic for the smaller signs. Keeping everything white and black with gold as an accent made everything seamlessly go together. This wedding is a great example of how everything can be cohesive without being matchy-matchy!

Caroline & Andrew

The Venue: Parker's Garage - Beach Haven, NJ

What I Did: Carolyn and Andrew’s wedding was in April, and their colors were inspired by spring florals. They wanted pinks and, of course, blues reflecting the water in LBI at Parker’s Garage. This invitation suite was honestly one of my all-time favorites, as well as one of the most fun suites that I’ve ever created! The handmade paper (my favorite) and digital print with watercolor details turned out so amazing! We used the border from the invitations on their table numbers, combining hand calligraphy and watercolor for a cohesive look that matched the vibe. For signage we also used that same border and printed it on dusty blue acrylic - one of my favorites everrrrrr - oh my god! The print in the casual, modern font - chef’s kiss!

Nicole & Sam

The Venue: Bonnet Island Estate - Manahawkin, NJ

What I Did: This wedding was one of my absolute favorites of the year, and I was actually on site for this one. I designed their invitations and also worked on their rehearsal dinner, which was at The Arlington. We created a welcome sign and a timeline card with their custom logo that I designed and a custom map that I painted as well. I also created oyster shell place cards, but chose a green for the calligraphy, which made for a fresh look.

This is probably my favorite flat lay that I’ve ever received from a photographer. Jess Palatucci is an effing geeeeenius! A pop of foil for their names and monogram letters tied in beautifully with their overall color scheme of sage green (shout out to Sam being from Ireland). We tied the invitations with a chiffon green ribbon. I loved that they were so cool and trusting of me picking colors that made sense. The sage green exterior envelope with cream for the inner and a lighter green ribbon added texture and dimension. Ahhhhh, how gorgeous. So so good!

For their wedding day, I handled signage, menus, a wooden welcome sign that matched the rustic vibe of the chapel, and table numbers. Nicole’s mom surprised her with a hand painted bottle of Veuve with their monogram, which made for some gorg photos. The florals were some of the best I’ve ever seen at a wedding. I hand drew the monogram on their card box on site while I was there that morning. All signage was matte paper with gold frames and green watercolor. Everything was tied back to the watercolor on their invitations. The tablescape was truly perfection - the flowers, the color of the napkin - I was blown away. Their seating chart was inspired by Stacey & Brandon at Shadowbrook, but I tailored it with lighter, more muted colors. I’ve done a lottttt of weddings at Bonnet Island, and this was hands down my favorite! I’ll never forget this wedding!

Katie & John

The Venue: The Ryland Inn - Whitehouse Station, NJ

What I Did: Katie and John got married inside the Grand Ballroom at The Ryland Inn. Their vibe incorporated all hues of blue, so I wanted to mesh the color scheme altogether. We did navy for the print and tied everything together with dusty blue. I created a monogram that carried through their invitations and signage. For day-of signage, everything was blue watercolor - place cards, table numbers, cigar bar, signature cocktails, and their guest book which featured my painting of the Ryland Inn that guests could sign! The only touch of mirror was for the unplugged ceremony, but the gold frame pulled in the gold frames that we did for the rest of the signage. Blue, beautiful, brilliant!

Trisha and Ryan

The Venue: Montauk Lake Club - Montauk, NY

What I Did: This was a Hamptons wedding in Montauk at the Montauk Lake Club. I worked with them from the beginning, starting with the save the dates. Every piece of script that you see is my actual handwriting. I hand painted every word we included and scanned it into the computer, and that’s what we used. This makes for a super cool look, especially on the textured paper that we used, which gave it more of a natural watercolor look! We tied the save the dates into the invitations by adding some of the florals. They’re totally different yet they work so well together. Watercolor was a common theme for me this year, which is awesome because it’s my specialty! We carried this theme through the programs, table numbers, menus, and individual place cards for each guest at the head table. The florals on the menu and the actual florals tied everything together beautifully with the watercolor. I mean look at this wedding, it was to die for!
