Since calligraphy is done by hand, no two items are ever 100% the same. The bespoke nature of my calligraphy projects reflect my own unique handwriting and skill. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy creating something for my couples that I can say is truly one of a kind!

Calligraphy has been around for roughly 2,500 years, with its rich history dating back to the Romans in about 600 BC. Unlike some wedding trends, calligraphy is timeless. Iit bridges the gap between millenia old cultural traditions and modern design.
Practice Doesn’t Necessarily Make Perfect
Calligraphy is not easy to master. It's an art that not everyone can do. Believe me, I used to teach events full of people! Some wanted to learn so badly and they would try and try and try, but it didn’t always translate to success. Below is one of the first pieces I created for a wedding... I've come a long way since then!

Finding a Great Calligrapher is Super Rare
Finding someone so committed to the art is really difficult. There are only a handful of vendors in the whole state of New Jersey who offer calligraphy for weddings. Going a level deeper, even fewer offer multiple styles (like I do). And it’s so so important to make sure that you align with that style! As with any good or service, the lack of supply enhances its value.
It’s Amazing for My Mental Health!
As a huge advocate for mental health, calligraphy has both therapeutic and meditative qualities. It promotes mindfulness and focus, while at the same time boosting creativity. It can enhance the brain’s neural plasticity, or the ability of the brain to change and adapt due to experience. Practicing calligraphy also refines hand-eye coordination and dexterity, which can be both soothing and mentally stimulating.
Calligraphy’s ability to marry both form & function and history & art makes it extremely special and one of the things I love most about what I do!
